Learning From Animals, LLAMA Meditation and Pure Hearts Healing are company brands belonging to Melanie Appleyard (melanieappleyard.com), which are focused on your wellbeing and that of your family. We offer well-being blogs and online courses, therapies and workshops to help you nurture your children’s well-being.

Melanie Appleyard values your trust and confidence and is committed to maintaining that. As such we want you to know that we would never rent, sell or trade your details or email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. For your reassurance this Privacy Policy is designed to provide you with lots of detailed information on why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

Types of data we collect

This website uses cookies to collect some information about your browsing or purchasing information when you access this website via the same computer or device. This includes information about pages viewed, products purchased and your journey around the website. This really helps us to tailor our services to the needs of our customers. As part of the registration process for our services, free content or newsletters, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to send you content and products that you’ve requested or to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; occasional marketing of products or services that we feel may be of interest to you, or to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information. We may also email you to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

Third Party Providers

Links are used interchangeably between my websites and booking pages, which are hosted on Wix, Membervault, Payhip and Teachable platforms. Further external links are included in my articles, which you may find of interest. We are not responsible for any data collected on that site, so you should refer to the privacy policy of the websites for further information about them.

We use a third-party provider, Mailerlite, to deliver our products, services and newsletters via email. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our products, services and newsletters. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.

Other third-party apps, including Setmore and jotform, are used to create bookings and gather relevant health-related information and booking forms. Information from these sites are held in compliance with data protection policies.

We also use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our websites.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behave in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
